2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the newest version. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power which allows it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its path automatically and clean around them without stumbling.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.
The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to enable voice control on this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while saving you time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up dry mess, including pet hair and food particles. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. Additionally, the X40 is quiet in operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.

The app is easy to use and intuitive and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive on the market, but it packs in numerous extra features that distinguish it from. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa.
